Innsbruck, 15 January 2014 –<\/em>\u00a0The long-standing company based in Schramberg, Germany commissions systems vendor terna with the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX business software. With this integrated ERP platform, Junghans hopes to standardise and modernise its heterogeneous software environment.<\/p>\n

By implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, terna is bringing the watchmaking company\u2019s ERP environment up to the state of the art. The heterogeneous individual solutions currently in place at Junghans will be completely replaced during the process. With this software upgrade, Junghans expects to achieve a higher level of integration in its business processes and greater transparency in terms of the company\u2019s productivity and profitability.<\/p>\n

Junghans evaluated seven different ERP systems from a total of ten providers. Important criteria such as investment security and global applicability led Junghans to concentrate on software solutions from larger ERP providers during the selection process. In the end, Microsoft Dynamics AX won out – due in large part to its user friendliness, which is a result of the familiar Microsoft look and feel.<\/p>\n

\u201cterna provides everything from a single source: an ERP solution with a broad range of standard functions and numerous additional industry-specific functions, as well as the necessary industry expertise and a user-friendly business intelligence solution,\u201d says Robert Siegmund, purchasing manager at Junghans, explaining the company\u2019s decision in favour of its future ERP partner.<\/p>\n

Parallel to the ERP implementation process, terna will also install the analysis and reporting tool QlikView at Junghans.<\/p>\n
